Windows RDP questions, answered
Is the Windows licence really included?
Yes. Every RDP plan runs Windows Server Datacenter licensed through Microsoft SPLA. It is activated when the server boots and receives updates normally; nothing to buy separately.
Can I install any software?
You are the administrator, so yes, within the acceptable use policy. Browsers, trading platforms, automation tools, development stacks and media software are all fine.
Do I get a dedicated IP address?
Yes. Each server has its own clean IPv4 address that is not shared with anyone, plus a /64 IPv6 block. Reverse DNS is editable from the dashboard.
Is browser automation allowed?
Yes, as long as it respects the acceptable use policy: no spam, no credential stuffing, no fraud, no attacks on third parties. Rate-limited scraping and monitoring are fine.
What is the GPU RDP plan for?
3D and CAD applications, video editing, game streaming and anything else that needs a real GPU behind the desktop. The RTX 4000 Ada also handles hardware video encoding.
How do I get a responsive desktop?
Pick the location closest to you; RDP feels local below 40 ms. All plans sit on a 1 Gbps port, and the GPU plan encodes the RDP stream in hardware.
